Ryan and I want to thank everyone for their support in this trying time. It helps to know we are not alone. Your encouraging messages, love and prayers are really appreciated. We are believing God for a miracle. We are at St. Jude's in Memphis now. Skyler will be seeing more Drs. and having a battery of tests for the next 3 days. Please continue to keep our family  in your prayers.

Hi, I am Skyler's Mom.  Skyler is more than just my child, he is a piece of my heart that makes it whole.  I am trusting the Lord with this illness.  I know that he has a plan for this special boy’s life. If you know Skyler you know that he is the sweetest child with the biggest heart. During this time Skyler has been more worried about others than himself.  Skyler and I would like everyone to know the fun things him and I do together.  We love to watch movies, play games, read books, sing songs, cook together, and take naps.  We are still continuing to do these things even though we are away from home.   We can't wait to get home and get things back to normal.  We Love You and please keep us in your prayers.

I am sorry I have not updated my journal in a while.  I sometimes just don't know what to say.  This is such a difficult time for me.  I am trying very hard to stay strong for Skyler.  He is just been so brave and strong the whole time.  It is humbling to watch him totally keep his faith in God.  He wants to pray all the time and that has really helped to keep him calm. I am trying to remember every day that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I really want to say Thank You to everyone that has supported us. It is such a blessing to be part of such an amazing community.  We have also have a great support system from our families.  I don't know what I would have done without them to help out. Please continue to pray for our brave boy.  He has a long road, but we are just taking it one day at a time. Thanks again to everyone, you are so awesome.  Love, Melissa

I am so relieved to get Skyler released from the hospital.  He is slowly getting better every day.  Skyler has been eating like crazy.  He is really making up for lost time.  That alone should help build up his strength. I feel so blessed that there are so many people all over praying for our boy.  Skyler has been laughing and talking more and more.  This has been music to my ears.  I can't tell you how hard it is not to be able to understand when he was trying to communicate with me.  It was so frustrating for him.  Thanks to everyone who is emailing me on my Yahoo account also.  I really enjoy reading all the letters.  I am still staying strong in my faith and giving this to God.  I know he has a plan for my Skyler's life.
